    Corps joins local partners, community members to unveil restored bicentennial mural

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District joined elected leaders, community members and other partners from throughout Riverside, San Bernardino and Orange counties June 2 to unveil the newly restored bicentennial mural on the Prado Dam spillway in Corona.

    Gathright Dam pulse release scheduled for June 21

    The Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will conduct a pulse release at Gathright Dam, near Covington, Va., June 21, 2023, beginning at approximately 6 a.m. Water releases will gradually increase and peak at 3,500 cubic feet per second by 9 a.m. People should be aware of river fluctuations caused by the pulse.

    Ranger For A Day

    The park ranger is the face of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at each of its lakes and reservoirs. You see them patrolling the lakes, campgrounds, recreation areas and picnicking sites. If you had the chance to step into their shoes for a day, would you do it? Members of the local Dallas and Fort Worth media had that opportunity recently during a ranger orientation day.
