Command Sergeant Major Michael Arroyo assumed duties as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Transatlantic Division’s senior enlisted advisor on October 10, 2024. He is a native of The Bronx, NY, and enlisted in the United States Army in June 1998 as a horizontal construction engineer.
Arroyo has served in every enlisted leadership position through Command Sergeant Major. His previous assignments include tours with the 62nd Engineer Battalion, Fort Cavazos, TX; 27th Engineer Battalion (C) (A), Fort Liberty, N.C.; 173rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (A), Vicenza, Italy; 554 Engineer Battalion, Fort Leonard Wood, MO; 31st Engineer Battalion, Fort Leonard Wood, MO; Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), Mons, Belgium; 6th Brigade Engineer Battalion (A), Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson, AK; 2nd Infantry Division, Republic of Korea United States Combined Division (RUCD), Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea; 91st Brigade Engineer Battalion, 1ABCT, 1st Cavalry Division; and the 20th Engineer Brigade, Fort Liberty, NC.
Arroyo holds a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Business and Management and is currently completing his Master of Business Administration.
Arroyo’s military education includes; United States Sergeants Majors Academy class 68, Department of Defense Mission Assurance Assessment Course, Master Resiliency Course, Modern Army Combatives Course levels 1 and 2, Joint Engineer Operations Course, Advance Anti-Terrorism Officer’s Course, First Sergeant’s Course, Battle Staff Course, Environmental Compliance Course, Contracting Officer Representative Course, Jumpmaster School, Air Movement Operations Course, Equal Opportunity Leader’s Course, and Basic Airborne Course.
