    Public meeting held for Rio Grande de Manatí flood risk management study

    San Juan, Puerto Rico – Close to a hundred citizens of the Ciales area attended a Rio Grande de Manatí flood risk feasibility study public scoping meeting Sunday, hosted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The meeting organized by Puerto Rico’s District 13 Representative Gabriel Rodriguez-Aguiló was an opportunity for the community to not only learn about the scope and process of the study being conducted by the Corps, but to express their concerns, ask questions and provide input on the considered flood risk management alternatives that were presented.
  • Latosha McCoy, Brandon Lee and Tonju Samuels were selected the Defense Contract Audit Agency’s Director’s Development Program in Leadership, an 18-month long Department of Defense executive level program designed to hone leadership competencies for managerial and executive-level performance.

  • The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Far East District hosted Camp Humphreys Middle School students during the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Career Shadow Day at the district's headquarters, March 21. The students were briefed by employees on their role within the district, participated in practical exercises, and toured construction sites around Camp Humphreys.
