    Huntsville Center hosts Safety Investigation Board training

    Dozens of safety officials from across the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) enterprise recently convened at the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville to learn how to properly investigate, document and report safety incidents.
  • Of the 979 Federal Employee Viewpoint Surveys administered to Huntsville Center employees, almost 682 completed the survey for a response rate of 69.9 percent, the second highest response rate in USACE.

    The Office of Personnel Management’s Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey, conducted throughout the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in June and July, measures employees' perceptions of whether, and to what extent, conditions characteristic of successful organizations is present.

    A career well done

    On January 6, 2023, Mr. Kevin Davee celebrated the culmination of a 33-year career with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; 14 of those years devoted to the Fort Worth District. Surrounded by over 30 loved ones, peers, mentees, and well-wishers, Davee enjoyed what would be the last ceremony of his career – his retirement ceremony.
  • The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Memphis District invests in employees and develops their leadership skills by utilizing the Leadership Development Program (LDP). LDP graduates are said to benefit from an expanded network of mentors, elevated promotion potential, and a greater understanding of the enterprise and district (to name a few).

    LDP grads on program: Making connections, overcoming obstacles, coming out stronger

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Memphis District invests in employees and develops their leadership skills by utilizing the Leadership Development Program (LDP). LDP graduates are said to benefit from an expanded network of mentors, elevated promotion potential, and a greater understanding of the enterprise and district (to name a few). Having more mentors and a better chance at promotion is nice, but according to the class of 2022, these perks are barely a fraction of what participants can get out of this yearlong program.
  • A team from the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL) participated in NASA’s 3D-Printed Habitat Centennial Challenge and earned the 2020 Silver Medal. The ERDC-CERL team included Dr. Michael Case (not pictured), Megan Kreiger, Eric Kreiger, Russ Northrup (not pictured), and Dr. Pete Stynoski.

    A team from the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL) was honored by NASA for their work in a contest using 3D printing to create housing options not only on Earth, but also in space.
