    Black visits Center Hill Dam Foundation Remediation Project

    LANCASTER, Tenn. (May 3, 2012) – U.S. Rep. Diane Black visited Center Hill Dam today to see firsthand the ongoing foundation remediation project and to receive updates from U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District personnel overseeing the work.
  • Alabama congressman gets full view of empty Wilson Lock

    FLORENCE, Ala. (May 3, 2012) – Congressman Mo Brooks of Alabama’s 5th, and representative of Robert Aderholt of Alabama’s 4th Districts, took today to get a full view of an empty Wilson Lock on the Tennessee River. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District maintainers performing major repairs at the lock gave the two local Congressmen briefings and tour to understand the process and requirements involved with lock operations.

    A new general instruction building at Presidio of Monterey in Monterey was completed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District in March 2012. It is the second of three general construction buildings the Sacramento District is working on for the post and the Defense Language Institute.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District now has a new Navy Reserve officer in its ranks of civilian employees. David Rodriguez, a field engineer with the District’s Arizona-Nevada Area Office, recently received his commission in the Reserves.
