    Jason Mock Bailey, volunteer campground park attendant with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, stationed at the Watsadler Campground located in Hartwell, Georgia, found a renewed sense of purpose and self-worth working as a volunteer after he suffered life-threatening injuries from a terrible accident in 1991.

    Savannah District Prepares to Weather Hurricane Season with Exercise

    SAVANNAH, Ga. – The U.S. Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, held a hurricane tabletop exercise at the Juliette Gordon Low Federal Building, March 28, 2024, in preparation for the upcoming Atlantic hurricane season.
  • More than 100 students from the Academy of Innovation, Porter’s Chapel, and St. Aloysious High School attended ERDC’s annual Earth Day Celebration. Engineers from several of ERDC’s laboratories set up interactive displays and spread information to the local students about how they can help keep the Earth healthy while also introducing them to the important work ERDC does.

    More than 100 students from the Academy of Innovation, Porter’s Chapel, and St. Aloysious High School attended ERDC’s annual Earth Day Celebration Monday, April 8, in the ERDC Headquarters Building Auditorium. Engineers from several of ERDC’s laboratories set up interactive displays in the Atrium and spread information to the local students about how they can help keep the Earth healthy while also introducing them to the work done at the agency.

    Army Holds First-of-its-Kind Career Fair in Arlington

    The traditional sights and sounds of Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers, were replaced with something brand new on Saturday, April 13. Instead of fans wearing jerseys cheering on the hometown team, potential candidates from throughout the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex carrying resumes entered the upper concourse of the stadium. They were looking for possible careers with more than 40 Army organizations including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Southwestern Division. The division had representatives on hand from Fort Worth, Galveston, Little Rock, and Tulsa Districts.
