    Louisville District and Little Rock District partner to complete Razorback Inn

    A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the delivery of a 136,322-square-foot visiting quarters named the Razorback Inn at Little Rock Air Force Base in Little Rock, Arkansas, Nov. 30, 2022. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District and Little Rock District collaborated to complete the new four-story facility, which includes 250 guest rooms, 20 business suites, guest laundry facilities, housekeeping functional spaces, multi-functional lobby, coffee shop, business center, conference rooms, exercise room and restrooms.
  • Lake Waco "Becoming an Outdoor Woman" Hunt

    To maintain a healthy balance between stewardship of land and animal conservation, the Fort Worth District Park Rangers assigned to Waco Lake, partner with Texas Parks and Wildlife Division (TPWD) to host two to three hunts, annually. One hunt that has gained much recent popularity is a three-day workshop for women, by women called Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) hunt, recently held Dec. 2 to Dec. 4, 2022.
  • Memphis District completes $6M in BIL-funded Revetment Repairs

    Congratulations to the Memphis District for recently completing a $6M Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL)-funded project at Below Knowlton, Arkansas. “Work to complete revetment stone repairs began on Sep. 27, 2022,” Project Manager Zach Cook said. “Work was then completed ahead of the required completion date on Nov. 8, 2022, despite record low water conditions and stone delivery delays due to tow restrictions.”

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District with partnering agencies is using funds from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to restore the degrading estuary in New York and New Jersey.
