    Secretary of Army selects Far East District civilian as EEO Professional of the Year

    Stephen Brown, Far East District (FED) Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Manager was selected as the 2022 Secretary of the Army EEO Professional of the Year for his significant contributions to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) EEO and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility program and initiatives within the region. The award is presented to a civilian equal opportunity official who manages, directs, oversees, and implements a model EEO program with distinction.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 23, 2022)– The Nashville District Corps of Engineers celebrated Christmas throughout December by holding a Christmas party “round robin,” and a holiday reflection watch party at the district headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee.
  • The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Alaska District transferred a National Guard armory to the community of Scammon Bay on Dec. 21, 2022. This real estate transaction marks the first divestiture of military property within the state under the Bob Stump Act during Fiscal Year 2023. Eight more facilities are scheduled for turnover in the coming years.

    Army engineers transfer ownership of remote armory to support Alaska community

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Alaska District transferred ownership of an Army National Guard armory to the community of Scammon Bay on Dec. 21, 2022. This real estate transaction marks the first divestiture of military property within the state under the Bob Stump Act. Eight more facilities are scheduled for turnover in the coming years.
