    Engineers make progress on military hospital project in Germany

    WEILERBACH, Germany – By far, the largest construction project being managed by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Europe District is the $990 million replacement of Landstuhl Regional Medical Center and the 86th Medical Group Clinic with a new consolidated medical facility on Rhine Ordnance Barracks. Site preparation is underway, and and the German Construction Agency here recently awarded a contract to the firm HDR TMK to complete the next design phase.

    Presque Isle Spring Beach Walk Shows Significant Erosion

    Representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Buffalo District, the Presque Isle Advisory Committee, the Park Operations Manager, and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) gathered March 30th to walk the entire length of Presque Isle’s western beach to assess the condition of the beach ahead of the summer swimming season.

    Jackson gets general overview of Nashville District construction projects

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 31, 2016) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers deputy commanding general for Civil and Emergency Operations visited a Nashville District project for the first time to interact with project managers and engineers.

  • The intake canal and Citrus Boulevard Bridge was constructed as part of the Corps' first construction contract for the C-44 project, which was coimpleted in July 2014.

    Corps of Engineers, partners, report on progress restoring America’s Everglades

    Significant progress has been made in restoring America’s Everglades over the past five years and a comprehensive report highlighting these efforts has recently been submitted to Congress. The 2015 Report to Congress for the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP) was jointly submitted to Congress last week by the secretaries of the Army and the Interior. The report details the collaborative effort of participating agencies and their combined commitment to restore America’s Everglades.
