    Dredged material removed from the Kings Bay Entrance Channel was recently placed on Nassau County beaches. Regional Sand Management at Kings Bay supports the beach project at Nassau County saving millions annually through the beneficial use of dredged material.

The harbor deepening will allow larger, post-Panamax ships to visit Savannah more easily and with heavier loads.
