    Army Corps and Partners contribute to successful Environmental Day in Elizabeth, NJ

    NEW YORK—Inclement weather didn’t keep students from over a dozen high schools in Elizabeth, N.J. from celebrating the cities’ Environmental Day last Friday, April 30, 2016. Each year students from their respective schools get together to show off their scientific percipience, learn more about their environment and celebrate Arbor Day and Earth Month.

  • Town of Clay, W.Va. Water Treatment Plant Dedication Ceremony

    On May 3, 2016 the Town of Clay, W.Va. dedicated its newly upgraded water treatment plant as part of a Section 571, Environmental Infrastructure Program, project. Approximately $1 Million in funding from the program was used for plant upgrades that expanded the intake capacity from 400 gallons per minute (GPM) to 800 GPM and increased the plant storage capacity to 73,500 Gallons. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) also provided funding for the project.
  • Dillard crew conducts rescue swimmer training in SF Bay

    SAN FRANCISCO -- Crewmembers from the M/V John A. B. Dillard, Jr., braved frigid and choppy waters May 5 as they conducted rescue swimmer training in the San Francisco Bay.
