    Corps awards Fire Island debris removal contract

    Yaphank, New York -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced Jan. 25 the award of a Hurricane Sandy debris removal contract worth $8.8 million to DS3 Enterprises Inc. of Central Islip, N.Y.
  • The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Europe District continues work in December on NATO's Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe International School campus in Mons, Belgium. The endeavor, funded collectively by Department of Defense Dependents Schools-Europe and NATO, will bring new elementary, middle and high schools to DoDDS students and new classrooms for the international school in an environmentally sustainable campus setting. Officials have targeted 2018 for completion of the entire campus.

    Honey, I Shrunk the Dam!

    Thanks to 3-D printing technology, Sacramento District projects are being shrunk into handheld models in a matter of hours to help team members visualize and explain their work like never before.

Walsh, Deputy Commanding General for Civil and Emergency Operations for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, paid a visit to the Central Everglades Planning Project team during a Project Delivery Team meeting they were holding in West Palm Beach, Fla., Jan. 24.
