    Corps continues STEM outreach through interactive program in Baltimore

  • Corps unable to open campgrounds along navigation system for 2013

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District is unable to open Corps-operated campgrounds along the Oklahoma portion of the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System for the 2013 recreation season. Funding for the Oklahoma portion of the navigation system has been reduced to the point where we are not able to safely open and operate the campgrounds.
  • U.S. Coast Guard releases 2012 Recreational Boating Statistics Report

    Almost 71 percent of all fatal boating accident victims drowned, with 84 percent of those victims not reported as wearing a life jacket. Approximately 14 percent of deaths occurred on vessels where the operator had received boating safety instruction. The most common types of vessels involved in reported accidents were open motorboats, personal watercraft and cabin motorboats.
  • ERDC researchers contribute to historic honor

    A pair of researchers with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center have been recognized for their significant contributions to the Army’s selection as a 2012 Top 100 Global Innovators Award. Bartley Durst and Toney Cummins with the ERDC Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory were named two of the top 20 inventors in the Army for 2009-2011.
  • Corps Finishes Largest Humanitarian Assistance Project Ever Built in Cambodia

    A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the completion of Preah Ang Duong High School on April 23 in Prey Veng City, Cambodia.
