    A PQ-14 line at Building 3001 at Tinker Air Force Base circa 1947. Building 3001 burned during a fire in November 1984. Two days after the fire the Air Force approached the Tulsa District about repairs and the Corps embarked on a massive project to replace the building. The new building was completed on time, within budget and with no loss of life.

  • Future Army officers shadow engineers at Stuttgart

    WIESBADEN, Germany – A pair of ROTC cadets are learning about the rigors and rewards of Army engineer life in a six-week stint with Europe District this summer. Rising seniors Jessica Baldridge and Bradley Barber came to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in mid-July through its annual Engineer Internship Program.

    Corps of Engineers Park Rangers help find missing camper

    (NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug 22, 2014) – Two quick-thinking park rangers from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District played a critical role in helping authorities find a missing camper several weeks ago at the Nashville Shores campground located at the J. Percy Priest lake.

    Army Cadet travels far, learns much during internship at Army Corps of Engineers, New York District

    Cadet Ryan Bunn, entering his senior year at Gonzaga University (Spokane, Washington) in fall 2014 pursuing a degree in engineering, flew across the U.S. in July 2014 to serve an internship with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, through the university’s Bulldog Battalion Reserve Officers Training Corps.

    Contractors dredge near Wachapreague

    Contractors began work dredging channels near the town of Wachapreague Sunday. Cottrell Contracting Corporation’s dredge Marion began dredging Bradford Bay and will work its way northwest into Finney Creek and finally into Wachapreague Channel.
