    The Base of the Future taking shape at Tyndall AFB

    Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Tyndall Air Force Base’s rebuild in Panama City, Florida, is taking shape. After Hurricane Michael nearly destroyed the base in 2018, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, was tasked with rebuilding it, which is home to the U.S. Air Force’s next-generation aircraft fighter, the F-35 Lightning II.

    USACE command sergeant major engages Nashville District workforce

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 14, 2024) – The top enlisted leader in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers engaged with the USACE Nashville District workforce this week to listen to any feedback and ideas and thank them for their service and commitment on the job.

Fisher Dam and Lake by the Flood Control Act of 1941. Since its completion, through fiscal year 2023, the cumulative amount of damages prevented by the dam during rain events is $21.3 million.
