    Cranberry Ridge/Gauley Mills Extension Waterline Dedication Ceremony

    The Town of Camden-On-Gauley hosted a dedication ceremony for the Cranberry Ridge and Gauley Mills Waterline Extension on June 22, 2021. The ceremony was attended by Mayor Lisa Cutlip, Lt. Col. Robin Scott, Deputy Commander of the USACE Huntington District, Wayne Morgan, WVIJDC Executive Director, Representing Governor Jim Justice and representatives for Congresswoman Carol Miller, Senator Shelley Moore Capito and Senator Joe Manchin. Mayor Cutlip was instrumental in obtaining support for the project to provide a safe, reliable source of drinking water to both existing and future residents.
  • USACE Chicago District hosts Dam Safety risk communication training workshop

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Chicago District recently held a Dam Safety risk communication training workshop for its Chicago, Seattle, and Galveston districts. Over 30 USACE personnel participated in five days of lecture discussions and facilitated sessions particular to each district’s area of responsibility.

  • Tim Sepkoski: transitioning from boots to business shoes

    Former Army Staff Sergeant Timothy Sepkoski recently received an end-of-service award from the Far East District for his military service as a Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) within the Southern Resident Office (SRO). His dedication and hard work throughout his time as a Soldier with SRO showcased how much of an asset he was to the team, which helped in securing a job during Sepkoski’s transition from Soldier to Civilian.
