    Fleet executes major surgery at Montgomery

    Crewmembers and maintenance operators for the Medium Capacity Fleet begin major work at the Montgomery Locks and Dam, operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District, on the Ohio River in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, Aug. 2, 2021. The medium fleet crew began work at Montgomery L/D in late July, and they will spend approximately a month to replace and repair components of the gate system and valves.

    Typhoon season on the Korean peninsula occurs May 15 through Nov. 30. Surrounded by bodies of water, the Korean peninsula is subject to typhoons that cause heavy showers and hazardous weather conditions. For U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Far East District (FED), processes are in place to protect employees, construction sites, and the surrounding community. Professionals do a smooth transition, shifting gears in preparation for typhoons.

    District schedules mosquito management spraying for Craney Island for Wednesday

    NORFOLK, Va. — The Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, has scheduled aerial mosquito treatment for 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18th over the federal property on Craney Island.
  • The Army continues to actively promote the iWATCH campaign with a simple theme, "SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING." This program provides our Soldiers, civilians, contractors and the military community the opportunity to report suspicious activity based on observed behaviors and activities.

    Antiterrorism Awareness Month: Corps leaders remind force to keep resources handy, stay vigilant
