Fust joined EPA Pacific Southwest Regional Administrator Mike Stoker and Rep. Paul Gosar. The event was hosted by Arizona Department of Environmental Quality Director Misael Cabrera.

    The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Army released the Navigable Waters Protection Rule Jan. 23. The rule provides a new and final definition for Waters of the United States.

    DeSoto Co., USACE: Partners in flood risk management

    Desoto County is the fastest growing county in Mississippi. With a population of over 175,000 residents, it is also the third most populated county in Mississippi. Unfortunately, it experiences frequent floods that cause economic losses and threaten lives. Congress authorized a study in DeSoto County to determine the feasibility of providing flood risk management solutions to the area. The Project Delivery Team (PDT) responsible for conducting the feasibility study has been working for over a year now, with their most recent meeting taking place earlier this month.

    Congressman Mooney and several members of his staff, including District Director Chad Story visited Sutton Dam. Lake Manager Brandy Acord escorted them on a tour of the 6th floor of the dam and out onto the crest gate machinery platforms, where they were briefed on how the FRM features work.

    Commander recognizes life saver at Cordell Hull Lake

    GRANVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 24, 2020) – The Army commander charged with managing public lands and waters at Cordell Hull Lake recognized the owner of Wildwood Resort and Marina today for rescuing a person in distress at the boat ramp Aug. 5, 2019.
