    General lauds project manager for piloting Joint Risk Register

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 6, 2019) – The commanding general of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Great Lakes and Ohio River Division lauded the project manager for the Chickamauga Lock Replacement Project this week for piloting a program called the “Joint Risk Register.”

    Division commander receives Nashville District overview

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 4, 2019) – The commanding general of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Great Lakes and Ohio River Division visited the Nashville District this week for a district overview and project updates. It is the general’s first trip to the district since taking command of the division July 12, 2019.

  • Corps to host Lake Sonoma Master Plan public meeting

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers San Francisco District will host a public meeting to receive input intended to help shape development of the revised Master Plan for Lake Sonoma in Geyserville, Calif.
  • Partnering with the U.S. Army Health Facilities Planning Agency and Fort Worth District, Huntsville Center’s Medical Outfitting and Transition program is assisting with the transition process at the 1.1 million square foot William Beaumont Army Medical Center replacement hospital at Fort Bliss, Texas.

    Center closes fiscal 2019 with $2 billion in obligations

    Of the $2.2 billion obligated, 44% went to support the Army and 37% for the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Nine percent was dedicated to Army Corps of Engineers Information Technology. Four percent was earmarked for the Air Force and 3% for the Navy, and projects for NASA came in at 1%. More than $25 million was obligated in grants and cooperative agreements.
