    Middle East District paves way to improved process

    In their marketing materials, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Middle East District often refers to their ability to accomplish projects in “some of the toughest construction environments in the world.” This saying was recently put to the test at an undisclosed location in the Middle East as they made repairs to one of the installation’s runways.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the City of Virginia Beach are hosting an informational meeting about the Lynnhaven River Basin Ecosystem Restoration Project today, Wednesday, October 10 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the Frank W. Cox High School, 2425 Shorehaven Drive, Virginia Beach.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District just closed out another successful Federal Government Fiscal Year (FY); FY2018.

  • FEMA Region 3 Geospatial Support

    The LRH Geospatial Team of Stephen Caldwell, David Chestnut, James Vassar, Danielle Endicott and Mack McCarty responded to a Mission Assignment for FEMA Region 3 in Danville, VA. While no major flooding developed during the assignment, the LRH team was able to utilize their state of the art equipment and technology utilized by the team in possible response scenarios. The demonstration included mobile LiDAR, terrestrial LiDAR,real time GNSS collection and UAV technology. The team plans to follow up with FEMA Region 3 to develop a complete suite of services to have the capability to respond in future requests.
