    JACKSON COUNTY, Tenn. (Aug. 1, 2017) – The removal of Roaring River Dam is underway, a multi-organizational stream restoration effort that will reconnect aquatic species and make recreation safer near the low head dam that is at risk of failing and no longer needed as a fish barrier.
  • New Employee Orientation

    The Huntington District held its first New Employees Orientation on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, and will conduct it quarterly moving forward. The orientation included a USACE and District overview from Col. Philip Secrist as well as site visits to Beech Fork Lake and to Robert C. Byrd Locks and Dam. The group included 18 new employees from the field and district office and new Deputy District Commander, Lt. Col. William Miller.
