    R3F Heavy Capacity Fleet – Olmsted Wicket Box Fabrication

    Louisville District called upon the Rivers Regional Repair Fleet (R3F) Heavy Capacity Fleet (HCF) to fabricate the Olmsted Locks and Dam maintenance wicket boxes.
  • The daughter of Chief Master Sgt. Arthur Arehart Sr., U.S. Air Force, pays respect to her late father at the Barrancas National Cemetery at the Naval Air Station-Pensacola, Fl., Feb. 14. The final resting place for Arehart is in a section of columbarium that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, constructed last year.

    Barrancas Cemetery Project provides opportunity for District to honor veterans, families for their service

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District (USACE), recently completed a project at the Barrancas National Cemetery at the Naval Air Station Pensacola to construct approximately 2,500 columbarium. The project required a quick turnaround, but the USACE used some innovative techniques to ensure our Nation's Veterans and their Families received the dignified burial that their service and sacrifice demands.
  • Colonel Jason A. Kirk is the Commander and District Engineer of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District. Colonel Kirk assumed command on July 17, 2015.

    Focus on STEM during National Engineers Week

    As the commander and District Engineer of the Jacksonville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and its 800-strong team of scientists, engineers and other professionals, I encourage everyone to celebrate and recognize the important contributions of science, technology, engineering and mathematics professionals during this year’s National Engineers Week — February 19-25. This is also a great week to encourage young people from all walks of life to consider a career in one of these vital “STEM” fields.

    Croston is one of five engineers from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers who represented the Corps. Croston is among the top 25 professional engineers in the Federal Government.
  • NORFOLK, VA – Heavy equipment is staged along the beach in Norfolk, Virginia’s East Ocean View neighborhood. Contractors will use the equipment to move dredged up sand on the beach to create a 60 foot wide beach berm that slopes to 5 feet above mean low water.
