    Robots clear site for future aerial gunnery range at Fort Bragg

    Range vegetation clearance systems used on the Fort Bragg project typically clear more than an acre per-day per-machine in difficult areas and up to 2 acres per-day, per-machine in areas with brush and small trees. The Fort Bragg contract calls for clearance of more than 900 acres and the project is ahead of schedule.

    Corps begins hydropower rehabilitation at Center Hill Dam

    LANCASTER, Tenn. (Sept. 9, 2015) – Disassembly of hydropower unit two is about to get underway at Center Hill Dam, which is the first of 28 units in the Cumberland River Basin to be rehabilitated as a result of a Memorandum of Agreement with the Southeastern Power Administration and power customers signed in August 2011 that provided a funding stream for the work.
  • After a vehicle hit a fuel dispenser, causing damages to it at Fort Hood, Texas, the quality assurance evaluator requested an emergency service order to assess/survey the damages and complete the required repairs. The contractor responded within 24 hours and completed the assessment, cut and capped electrical and fuel lines, installed a new dispenser, and returned the fuel dispenser to its normal operation.

    Program helps installations with fuel operations, repairs

    DLA-Fuels Program is an effective recurring maintenance and minor repair program that increases the reliability and safety of facilities, system and components. This increases the useful life of facilities and equipment resulting in optimizing the life cycle of the fuel system and components, thereby increasing the duration between required re-capitalized investments.

    USACE-wide competencies validated

    SEOUL, South Korea - The Combined Forces Command announced Aug. 28 that it successfully completed
