    ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., -- Mr.Chaouki Abdallah, provost, University of New Mexico (left); Lt. Col. Antoinette Gant, commander, Albuquerque District, and Col.     A team of engineers and researchers with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Engineering Research and Development Center, Coastal Hydraulics Laboratory in Vicksburg, Miss., is gathering wind data on Tangier Island, an island in the Chesapeake Bay that is sinking and eroding away, especially when strong winds churn storm waters.

    Center shares with local students during National Engineer Week

    Huntsville Center celebrated National Engineers Week by meeting with more than 300 juniors and seniors at J.O. Johnson High School in north Huntsville, Ala. After the students listened Center employees explain how they got into their respective technical fields, their attention quickly turned to a challenge.
