    Former Nashville District commander lauded for professional achievement

    NASVHVILLE, Tenn. (March 5, 2012) – A former commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District recently received a professional achievement award in the government category at the 26th Annual Black Engineer of the Year Awards Gala at the Philadelphia Marriott.

  • TENNESSEE — Steve Hobbs, structural engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers St. Louis District and Level I certified for rope access technician, prepares to inspect the top chords of the railroad truss at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant in Tennessee. The St. Louis District employs this unique technique to conduct inspections of bridges, dams and other structures in the Corps of Engineers and other federal agencies.
