    Honolulu District Employee Dr. David Nguyen Co-Publishes International Standard

    David Nguyen, PhD, a new Project Manager within Honolulu District’s Programs and Projects Civil and Public Works section, recently co-published an International Standard with the International Organization for Standardization.

    ERDC and USM equip the military with new airfield mat coating technology

    Recently, members of Marine Wing Support Squadron 271, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, and researchers from the University of Southern Mississippi participated in an Airfield Matting Resurfacing experiment at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC). AM2 matting is an aluminum matting system developed in the 1960s to provide temporary aircraft landing surfaces in austere locations around the world.
  • The late Dr. Mark Moran has been inducted into CRREL's Gallery of Distinguished Employees. Dr. Moran retired in 2021 after a 35-year CRREL career in which he led numerous advancements in radar, seismic and acoustic computational methods and sensing, including groundbreaking work in IED detection that is credited with saving the lives of countless Warfighters in Iraq and Afghanistan.     The late Dr. Mark Moran, a research geophysicist whose work is credited with saving the lives of countless Warfighters in Iraq and Afghanistan, was inducted into the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory’s (CRREL) Gallery of Distinguished Employees on Nov. 19.

    Park ranger recognized for positive impacts to recreation and conservation

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 23, 2025) – A Center Hill Lake park ranger with a passion for providing outstanding recreational experiences and commitment to environmental stewardship is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District Employee of the Month for October 2024.

    Little Rock Logistics Team wins national level award for excellence

    Little Rock District Logistics team triumphs in 2024. The SWL team achieved a near perfect score on the 2024 Command Logistics Review Program Inspection and provided flawless support during emergency operations, with six deployments for the Logistics Planning and Response Team (LPRT), Blue Roof, and Debris teams.
