    VICKSBURG, Miss. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District's construction of the Lower Mississippi River Museum and Riverfront Interpretive Center is nearing completion. The museum will consist of a two-story, 20,000-square foot building attached to the Motor Vessel Mississippi. The building will include a reception area, orientation theater, interactive displays and exhibits and a classroom/activity room.

    Prado Dam hosts potential future engineers

    The number and types of engineers America’s education system is preparing for the nation’s future is often an active and energetic discussion among the Department of Defense, educators and the scientific community. It was also an active discussion June 4 when the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District hosted nearly 30 students from Los Angeles Roosevelt High School for a day at Prado Dam, giving them a close-up look at the dam and how it operates, and at part of the process involved in implementing a project.

    CERL rat snake research featured in Journal of Zoology

    ERDC Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL) Wildlife Biologist Dr. Jinelle Sperry, also an adjunct assistant professor with the College of ACES's Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois, is the lead author on an article published in the June issue of the Journal of Zoology.
