    Fort Hood's House Creek Bridge project reaches major milestone

    A major milestone was reached with the installation of 15 beams which make up the bulk of the bridge over Fort Hood’s House Creek on Sep. 8.
  • Silver Jackets comprise many agencies, one solution

    Los Angeles District Commander Col. Kirk Gibbs joined water resource agencies, led by the California Department of Water Resources, at a Sept. 9 signing ceremony here during the Floodplain Management Association’s annual conference to formally establish California as the 40th state to form a Silver Jackets program.

    FRANKLIN, Tenn. (Sept. 14, 2016) – Lt. Col Stephen F. Murphy, Nashville District commander, commended a group of 13 graduates of the 2016 Leadership Development Program class today at the Buca di Beppo restaurant in Franklin, Tenn.
  • SHEP's water impoundment nearly 30% complete

    Now almost 30 percent complete, the raw-water storage impoundment dike walls are currently four feet above ground level. With a circumference of two-thirds of a mile, they will be 29 feet high, encircle 17 acres and hold 97 million gallons of water when complete.
  • Corps participates in STEM workshop

    Maj. Scotty Autin, deputy commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District along with Capt. Eugene Park, assistant chief of civil works branch, participated in the West Point Leadership, Ethics, and Diversity STEM (LEADS) workshop for LA Metro Area educators and students on Sept. 9.
