    The Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in partnership with the U.S. Air Force, has scheduled aerial mosquito spraying for tomorrow over Craney Island.

    New commander takes charge

    Col. Aaron L. Dorf became commander of the Portland District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during a ceremony, July 28. Dorf took command from Col. Jose L. Aguilar, who served as commander of Portland District since April 15, 2014. Aguilar had high praise for his staff.

    Northport levee repair on track for August completion

    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is in the midst of repairing the Northport, Ala., levee, to address a crack that was first discovered in 2010. The project is nearing completion and is expected to be finished on schedule in late August.
