    Army Corps builds foundation for resiliency

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District is working on the Port Monmouth Flood Risk Management Project in New Jersey that will make the Port Monmouth community more resilient during future storm flooding and surge. The project includes an environmentally friendly soil stabilization process that has never been used by the Corps before on a flood risk management project. The process makes the project stronger, improves the community’s quality of life, and saves tax-dollars.
  • RI/FS underway at Sahuarita Air Force Range

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District began a remedial investigation and feasibility study July 13 at the former Sahuarita Air Force Range in Pima County, Arizona. SAFR is a Formerly Used Defense Site of approximately 27,000 acres. Airmen from Davis-Monthan in Tucson used the site from 1943 to 1958 for bombing and gunnery training.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 26, 2017) – The commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District recently announced that Patty Coffey, acting deputy district engineer, will permanently fill the position, the highest civilian leader in the organization.
  • Benson aids others on wellness journey

    Dee Benson wants you to have a life of longevity filled with great physical and spiritual health. Each Monday and Thursday, here at Huntsville Center, she helps willing coworkers to achieve those goals. Benson, Business Practices Chief in the Business Management Office, leads a lunch time class from 12:30 -1:15 p.m. in the fitness center designed to improve an individual’s physical health.
