We SAFELY deliver agile, responsive, and innovative, design, construction, engineering and contingency solutions in support of U.S. Central Command, U.S. Special Operations Command and other global partners to advance national security interests.

LAPSE IN DoW APPROPRIATIONS - Friday, October 3, 2025

The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

 

A NEW CHAPTER: - Tuesday, August 5, 2025

On August 5, 2025, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officially realigned mission oversight of USACE operations in support of U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Command from the Transatlantic Division to the Southwestern Division. This transition ensures continued, focused support to U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Command across the Middle East, Central and South Asia, and the Levant. Both the Middle East District and the Transatlantic Expeditionary District remain fully operational and continue delivering engineering solutions that support regional stability and operational readiness. This is a new chapter, not a new identity. The mission – and the USACE legacy – continues.

    USAG HUMPHREYS, Republic of Korea – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Far East District commemorated the completion of project CY13 ROKFC IN-KIND Bulk Fuel Storage Tanks and Pumps (OS031), with an Acceptance Release Letter (ARL) ceremony in Pyeongtaek, Republic of Korea, Dec. 7.

  • Louisville District responds to Kentucky tornado disaster

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District is working in partnership with local, state and federal agencies in response to the severe storms and tornadoes, which impacted western Kentucky the evening of Dec. 10, 2021. When disasters occur, USACE works under the direction of the Federal Emergency Management Agency to support state and local governments in responding to major disasters.

    Fort Leonard Wood Hospital Replacement Project marks a big milestone with “Topping Out” ceremony

    Leaders from Fort Leonard Wood and the national, regional and state representatives present, signed the “last beam” which will be installed in its place atop the structure after the event for safety purposes. The construction team lighted an evergreen tree on the top of the structure during the ceremony to represent that milestone in the construction of the building. This “topping out” signals the move ahead to further construction progress on the hospital.
  • Erica Fritz is a Project Manager with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District Regulatory Division. The role of the USACE Regulatory Division is to balance reasonable economic development with environmental protection and Fritz is the front-line of that mission.

Joseph Sahl, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District commander, met with Project Planning Branch Chief Craig Carrington, Plan Formulation Section Chief Thomas Herbert, and Planning Project Manager Chris Pickering to sign the K.R. Harrington Water Treatment Plant Streambank Stabilization Project Partnership Agreement at the district's headquarters in the Estes Kefauver Federal Building.
