We SAFELY deliver agile, responsive, and innovative, design, construction, engineering and contingency solutions in support of U.S. Central Command, U.S. Special Operations Command and other global partners to advance national security interests.

LAPSE IN DoW APPROPRIATIONS - Friday, October 3, 2025

The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

 

A NEW CHAPTER: - Tuesday, August 5, 2025

On August 5, 2025, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officially realigned mission oversight of USACE operations in support of U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Command from the Transatlantic Division to the Southwestern Division. This transition ensures continued, focused support to U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Command across the Middle East, Central and South Asia, and the Levant. Both the Middle East District and the Transatlantic Expeditionary District remain fully operational and continue delivering engineering solutions that support regional stability and operational readiness. This is a new chapter, not a new identity. The mission – and the USACE legacy – continues.

    In California, Army Corps of Engineers pledges on-going help for wildfire victims

    SAN FRANCISCO - With thousands of people forced from their homes by wildfires in three Northern California counties, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has pledged to continue to provide available space to accommodate evacuees at two Corps-operated campgrounds in the area free of charge, officials said.

  • District among top USACE programs in FY2015

    WIESBADEN, Germany – As the fiscal calendar hits 2016, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Europe District is looking back at another strong year supporting its many strategic partners in two theaters. With more than $668 million in construction placement and over 6.5 million employee hours on project sites, the district had one of the three largest military construction programs in all of USACE.

    Antilles Area Office completes successful move to new location

    After a large scale coordinated effort, employees finally settled into their new office space in mid- September. The new temporary facility is located at the Angel Ramos Foundation-Annex Building, 383 FD Roosevelt Ave., San Juan, PR, 00917, and will be occupied for up to five years.

    USACE New York District Participates in Estuary Day

    New York District Participated in Estuary Day in 2015 in Elizabeth, N.J. Area students and educators from 14 different schools participated. Orchestrated by Future City Inc., and sponsored by the Elizabeth River/Arthur Kill Watershed Association, the event’s success was attributed to a concerted effort and steadfast partnership with strong local support.

    Amongst the training of the U.S. military’s elite at the Joint Forces Training Base, Los Alamitos, a California Military Department base, the National Guard showed the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and a congresswoman on Oct. 13 how they help the state’s youth improve their lives with education.
