We SAFELY deliver agile, responsive, and innovative, design, construction, engineering and contingency solutions in support of U.S. Central Command, U.S. Special Operations Command and other global partners to advance national security interests.

LAPSE IN DoW APPROPRIATIONS - Friday, October 3, 2025

The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

 

A NEW CHAPTER: - Tuesday, August 5, 2025

On August 5, 2025, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officially realigned mission oversight of USACE operations in support of U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Command from the Transatlantic Division to the Southwestern Division. This transition ensures continued, focused support to U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Command across the Middle East, Central and South Asia, and the Levant. Both the Middle East District and the Transatlantic Expeditionary District remain fully operational and continue delivering engineering solutions that support regional stability and operational readiness. This is a new chapter, not a new identity. The mission – and the USACE legacy – continues.

    USACE achieves major construction milestone at Tamiami Trail

    The U.S Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District reached a major milestone for the Tamiami Trail Modifications project was reached shortly after midnight July 13, 2012 as the first concrete pour on the bridge deck was completed.
  • Dresden Lock and Dam on the Illinois River near Morris, Ill., is one of 239 lock chambers at 193 sites nationally operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that provides half-hourly lock and daily vessel specific information through a new Lock Performance Monitoring System that is Web-based and available to the public at http://corpslocks.usace.army.mil/.

    USACE launches new navigation website

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) announces the launch of a new website that will provide the public and industry with real-time data on U.S. flag and foreign vessels transiting USACE-owned and operated lock structures nationally.
  • Spc. Timothy Steely, a current Operation Warfighter intern, speaks with Charles Case from the Defense Criminal Investigation Service, one of the agencies represented at the meeting. Operation Warfighter is a federal internship program that places Wounded Warriors in positions at federal agencies while they are completing their medical board process. The Tulsa District has had multiple Operation Warfighter interns at the agency.
