    Jacksonville District hosts Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway boat tour

    Jacksonville, Fla. -- (May 1, 2024) The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District, partnered with the Florida Inland Navigation District, U.S. Coast Guard, and local stakeholders, on the U.S. Army Corps survey vessel, Florida II to conduct inspections along segments of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterways. While unconventional, the ship provided an invaluable setting for decision-makers to witness firsthand the environmental areas under discussion and foster relationships among stakeholders.

    Community, leaders celebrate sand on beach just in time for summer

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District celebrated the completion of a beach nourishment project that benefits the Encinitas and Solana Beach communities during a joint press conference with its partners May 13 at Encinitas City Hall.

    Leaders are learners at the USACE Nashville District

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 10, 2024) – On your way to the Smyrna, Tennessee National Guard Base, you’ll pass the Capt. Jeff Kuss USMC Memorial. The instantly recognizable monument is an actual Blue Angels F/A-18C Hornet in full regalia, tail number six --- the same number Kuss was flying on June 2, 2016, when a tragic in-flight accident cost him his life while preparing for the Great Tennessee Airshow.
