    VA Groundbreaking

    Breaking Ground in the Sands of Texas

    In the August heat of Texas, a group of dedicated individuals came together with a common goal – to break ground and build a Veteran Affairs healthcare center that will provide top-notch care for the brave men and women who have served their country. From the first shovels to meet dirt, the clinic will rise from the dust of the Chihuahuan Desert near the William Beaumont Medical Center.

    Jacksonville District completes beach fill operations at St. Augustine Beach

    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, announced Sept. 3, 2024, the completion of beach fill operations for the St. Johns County, Florida, Shore Protection Project in St. Augustine Beach.

    Groce named Nashville District employee of the month for outstanding survey support

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 5, 2024) – A surveyor that kept a slope remediation project on track at Dale Hollow Dam is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District’s Employee of the Month for May 2024.

    On Aug. 23, 2024, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District participated in a ceremony to honor the Georgetown neighborhood and Rosenwald High School in Harlan, KY – a community that was devastated by a catastrophic flood in 1977.

    Two Rangers leading the way by example at West Point

    One of the most demanding and challenging career fields in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is that of park ranger. Park Rangers work around the clock to keep our USACE parks open and safe for visitors and campers. Two West Point rangers who exemplify going above and beyond are Ben Williams, the chief ranger for Natural Resource Management, and Susan Cromer, the Recreation chief ranger.
