    Student gets geotech guidance

    Kelly Wun, a high school senior, had a chance to learn directly from U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Far East District employees at the district compound in Seoul on Nov. 5. Scott Bittner, a science teacher at Seoul American High School, selected Wun for this job-shadowing opportunity from eight student-candidates, in recognition of her leadership and academic interests.
  • Corps sends team to Fort Irwin to assess recent storm damage

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles district sent a four-person team of engineering professionals to the National Training Center at Fort Irwin to assess damages to the installation after flash floods from a storm hit the post Oct. 5.

    The Veterans Committee for Civic Improvement of Huntington, an organization of 14 veterans organization in the Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia Tri-State area presented its annual Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony. Colonel Secrist was both the Parade Marshall and the featured speaker.
