We SAFELY deliver agile, responsive, and innovative, design, construction, engineering and contingency solutions in support of U.S. Central Command, U.S. Special Operations Command and other global partners to advance national security interests.

A NEW CHAPTER: - Tuesday, August 5, 2025

On August 5, 2025, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officially realigned mission oversight of USACE operations in support of U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Command from the Transatlantic Division to the Southwestern Division. This transition ensures continued, focused support to U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Command across the Middle East, Central and South Asia, and the Levant. Both the Middle East District and the Transatlantic Expeditionary District remain fully operational and continue delivering engineering solutions that support regional stability and operational readiness. This is a new chapter, not a new identity. The mission – and the USACE legacy – continues.

    Efforts continue at Fort Bliss medical center

    Huntsville Center's Medical Outfitting and Transition program provides total turn-key project support for the equipping and transitioning of staff and patients associated with new William Beaumont Army Medical Center replacement hospital at Fort Bliss, Texas.
  • Center closes fiscal 2019 with $2 billion in obligations

    Of the $2.2 billion obligated, 44% went to support the Army and 37% for the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Nine percent was dedicated to Army Corps of Engineers Information Technology. Four percent was earmarked for the Air Force and 3% for the Navy, and projects for NASA came in at 1%. More than $25 million was obligated in grants and cooperative agreements.
  • Joint Inland Waterways Association Meeting

    Huntington District Operations team members participated in the Joint Inland Waterways Association meeting located in Marietta, Ohio. This meeting combines navigation industry representatives from the Huntington Waterways Association and the Pittsburgh Waterways Association.
