    Corps of Engineers Park Rangers help find missing camper

    (NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug 22, 2014) – Two quick-thinking park rangers from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District played a critical role in helping authorities find a missing camper several weeks ago at the Nashville Shores campground located at the J. Percy Priest lake.
  • Army Cadet travels far, learns much during internship at Army Corps of Engineers, New York District

    Cadet Ryan Bunn, entering his senior year at Gonzaga University (Spokane, Washington) in fall 2014 pursuing a degree in engineering, flew across the U.S. in July 2014 to serve an internship with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, through the university’s Bulldog Battalion Reserve Officers Training Corps.
  • Contractors dredge near Wachapreague

    Contractors began work dredging channels near the town of Wachapreague Sunday. Cottrell Contracting Corporation’s dredge Marion began dredging Bradford Bay and will work its way northwest into Finney Creek and finally into Wachapreague Channel.
  • Army Cadet travels far, learns much during internship at Army Corps of Engineers, New York District

    In summer 2014, Army ROTC cadets interned with the New York District through the Reserve Officers Training Corps’ Cadet Troop Leader Training, providing a variety of leadership experiences prior to the senior year of college.
  • Norfolk District 135: William Price Craighill

    William Price Craighill was the fourth officer in charge of what would later become the Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He became the Corps’ first Southeast Division Engineer, overseeing coastal fortification projects in Hampton Roads.
