  • District awards contract for tractors, trailers in Egypt

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Middle East District awarded an $8.5 million contract Nov. 6 for tractors and trailers to be provided to the Egyptian Engineering Authority to support its operations. The equipment is being procured under the Foreign Military Sales program.
  • Middle East District awards contract for utilities infrastructure at Bagram Airfield

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Middle East District awarded a task order contract for the westside utilities infrastructure at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan on Nov. 15. The $11.9 million task order was awarded to Contrack International, Inc., of McLean, Va. The performance period is 15 months.
  • Two border guard posts open in Tajikistan

    Representatives from the U.S. and Tajikistan governments celebrated the opening of two border guard posts – in Sayod and Ribhoz, Tajikistan – during a ribbon-cutting ceremony Nov. 6. The Middle East District constructed the facilities under the Department of Defense’s counternarcotics program.
