WHAT WE DO:
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has six focused mission areas: Civil works, Military Missions, Environmental, Emergency Operations, Research and Development, Sustainability. The Transatlantic Division primarily focuses on three aspects of these mission areas:
MILITARY MISSIONS: Support our Combatant Commands to achieve our DoD security objectives and advance our Nation’s interests around the globe. Provide programmatic policy and management of the worldwide military construction programs as a designated DoD construction agent.
CONTINGENCY OPERATIONS: Conduct emergency response and disaster relief activities using a whole-of-government approach. Respond to presidential disaster declarations, plus numerous state and local emergencies. Collaborate with other military elements and Federal agencies in support of state and local efforts.
INTERNATIONAL & INTERAGENCY: Integrate capabilities and expertise across the organization to enable our international and interagency partners to focus on their primary mission goals and objectives. Leverage our global presence, unique authorities, enduring relationships, and enterprise processes to deliver scalable solutions at home and abroad.
HOW WE DO IT:
The Transatlantic Division utilizes the "E3" construct of Engage, Execute and Evolve by defining three strategic priorities that provide our framework for how we will accomplish our overall mission. The first two strategies focus on actions external to the Division, while the third strategy focuses internally. They are defined as:
ENGAGE: Focus on developing collaborative and cooperative partnerships and solutions with our many stakeholders throughout the AOR.
EXECUTE: Actualize our mission delivery processes to meet our stakeholders' expectations; complete our projects on time and within budget.
EVOLVE: Implement strategies and actions to remain an enduring, relevant organization capable of responding to changing conditions and future expeditionary contingency missions. Scale and shape our workforce to provide the right people for the mission at hand.
