  • USACE Transatlantic Division Welcomes New Commander: Colonel Craig S. Baumgartner

    The United States Army Corps of Engineers Transatlantic Division proudly announces a change in leadership as Brigadier General William C. Hannan, Jr. officially hands over command to Colonel Craig S. Baumgartner. Baumgartner assumed duties as Commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Transatlantic Division, June 21. Although, he has been a crucial part of the division since August 2021, serving as the deputy commander. In this role, Baumgartner demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and a deep understanding of the Transatlantic Division mission, making him the ideal choice to lead the command into the future.
  • USACE Supports CENTCOM's 6th Annual State Partnership Program Adjutant General Conference

    U.S. Central Command hosted its 6th Annual State Partnership Program Adjutant General Conference at the CENTCOM Headquarters in Tampa, Florida, May 14-16. This event brought together senior leadership from CENTCOM's State Partnership Program, including Adjutant Generals and Command Sergeants Major from six states. The United States Army Corps of Engineers Transatlantic Division, represented by Scott Cilley, Plans and Operations chief; Major David Nemecek, plans and Operations officer; and Tara Clark, Program Manager for Project Initiation and Development, significantly contributed to the conference's success.

  • Strategic Engagements Strengthen U.S. Army and Navy Collaboration in Bahrain

    In a series of key leader engagements, U.S. Army Col. William C. Hannan, Jr., U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Transatlantic Division (USACE TAD) commander, visited Bahrain on Sept. 11, to fortify the already strong inter-service partnerships with the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT) and Naval Support Activity Bahrain (NSA Bahrain).

Burton, U.S. Army Central engineer director, and members of her team at Fort Polk, La., Mar. 10, to observe a live-fire experiment testing an innovative design improving bunker protection.

    During a multi-country visit to the Middle East, Command Sgt. Maj. Clifton D. Morehouse, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Transatlantic Division senior enlisted advisor, traveled to Qatar on February 5, for a strategic engagement with U.S. Air Force Col. Timothy Dreifke, the Senior Defense Official/Defense Attaché to the U.S. Ambassador to Qatar, and Dr. Khaled M. Masoud, the USACE Transatlantic Middle East District regional programs manager and Joint Project Management Office director, along with U.S. Navy Capt. Joseph Manion, the Office of Military Cooperation chief with the U.S. Embassy Doha, Qatar; and Middle East District program managers, Scott Ritchie and Jim Moore.
