WINCHESTER, Va. — JoAnn Evans, a former Transatlantic Division employee who was recently inducted into the organization’s Gallery of Distinguished Civilians, and Susan Fenton, a current TAD employee, both were awarded the Civilian Service Achievement Medal during a ceremony here Feb. 20.

The Deputy G3 from U.S. Army Corps of Engineers headquarters, Rick Howley, presented the medals during the ceremony, held at TAD headquarters.

According to the award package:

“Evans provided invaluable expertise, great personal enthusiasm, and hard work in formulating the Field Force Engineering FY19 budget and executing it across both the DFFE (OMA) and VOFS (OCO) MDEPS. She personally managed the HQ USACE accounts and participated in 10 account reviews every month covering 57 subaccounts. She delivered 100 percent execution of her HQ accounts worth a total of $4.94M, as well as 100 percent execution of the entire FFE Program worth a total of $41.1M, including $5.9M in UFR funding late in the Fiscal Year. Her significant contributions to Army engineer combat readiness will enhance the life-health-safety, quality of life, and force protection for soldiers deployed across the globe for years to come.”

According to the award package:

“Fenton formulated and executed the FY19 Field Force Engineering budget with outstanding precision, competence, and effectiveness. She very proactively managed her three subaccounts worth a total of $1. 8M to 100 percent execution, enabling an increasingly productive deployment recruiting program and seamless mobilization and deployment support for eight separate USACE FEST-As and six U.S. Army Reserve FEST-As overseas missions. Her significant contributions to Army engineer combat readiness will enhance the life-health-safety, quality of life, and force protection for soldiers deployed across the globe for years to come.”
