    Jacksonville District hosts Minister of Chinese Water Resources on a tour of America's Everglades

    A delegation of senior water management officials from the People’s Republic of China, including the Minister of Water Resources, toured the Everglades with representatives of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and partner agencies. The group discussed processes and progress in the United States’ largest ecosystem restoration program.

    During construction on Libby Army Airfield's new south ramp Dec. 18, 1st Lt. Luke Ritz, a project engineer at the Los Angeles District's Resident Office here, and Harold Colby, a construction representative from the Tucson Resident Office, supervise testing of random batches of concrete to ensure that it meets stringent design specifications.
  • NORAD ready to track Santa's journey today

    PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- The North American Aerospace Defense Command is getting ready to track Santa's yuletide journey! The NORAD Tracks Santa website, www.noradsanta.org, went live Dec. 1 featuring a countdown calendar, a kid's countdown village complete with holiday games and activities that change daily, and video messages from students and troops from around the world. With the addition of Brazilian Portuguese, the website is now available in eight languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese and Chinese.
